Dr Leonard Browne is a Research Fellow in Biostatistics at the Graduate Entry Medical School, University of Limerick. His primary interests are in the area of modelling longitudinal data, functional data, and survival data.
Major research themes and research publications focus on the epidemiology of kidney disease; the assessment of treatment strategies for chronic kidney disease (CKD) & end-stage kidney disease (ESKD); determinants and outcomes of acute kidney injury (AKI); the clinical impact of traditional and emerging biomarkers on mortality risk which are key topics of clinical significance in the areas of nephrology and health system research.
